Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Inkput ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of Service

Inkput is a personal journaling application for iPhone and iPad that provides:

• Guided writing protocols (Pennebaker Method, Gratitude, Ideation, Free Writing)
• Customizable digital notebooks with various paper and cover styles
• Session tracking and analytics
• Local, on-device data storage

License

Inkput grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Reverse engineer or decompile the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Sublicense or transfer your rights to others

Your Content

Ownership: You retain full ownership of all content you create in Inkput, including journal entries, notes, and any other written material.

Storage: All your content is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to, and cannot view, your content.

Responsibility: You are solely responsible for your content and for maintaining backups if desired.

Data and Privacy

Inkput does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, except optional iCloud sync you enable, which keeps your data within your own private iCloud account. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Purchases and Subscriptions

The App may offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

• Prices are displayed in your local currency
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
• Manage subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies

Disclaimer of Warranties

Inkput is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Defects will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inkput and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data
• Loss of profits
• Personal injury
• Property damage

arising from your use of the App.

Mental Health Disclaimer

Inkput provides journaling tools and evidence-based writing protocols for personal reflection and emotional processing. However:

• The App is not a substitute for professional mental health care
• The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified healthcare provider or emergency services

The writing protocols included (such as the Pennebaker Method) are based on published research but are provided for informational purposes only.

Data Loss

Because all data is stored locally on your device:

• We cannot recover deleted journals or entries
• Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all data
• You are responsible for any backups you wish to maintain
• Device damage, loss, or reset may result in data loss

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Significant changes will be communicated through app updates.

Termination

You may stop using Inkput at any time by deleting the App from your device.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for violations of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
